New allotment

Mummy has got herself an allotment, so today we went to try and clear it up. It is very overgrown but it does have a lovely little stream running along side it. I spent most of the day wading in the water, not helping mummy. I didn't like the fire, it was hot and I started steaming. Mummy said she wont take me back until I can learn to behave and stop running off, but I was so bored, much rather stay at home and chew my bone and dream of Jesse.

Intruders!!!!

Well it all kicked off here today, we had two intruders in my garden. They drank from my pond and then had the cheek to nick food that was for the birds. Mummy got a photo of one of them leaving the garden, then she let me out, well I had to tell them they weren't allowed back didn't I.

I've been lazy!!

Well I have been very lazy lately, not keeping up with blogging, but I did remember to remind mummy to get batteries for the camera. So at last I can show you my birthday cake from way back when I had my second birthday.

The cake was very yummy and I got to eat it all by myself. Mummy also took me for a walk today, it was only a short one and we didn't get to go to the pet shop on the way back. I like going into the pet shop as they give me biscuits and have a water bowl to refresh myself. Will have to try and get some photos with my friends from there to show you.

Most of the pictures mummy got of me today were of my bottom. She blames me and the camera, me because I don't keep still and the camera because it takes ages to take the picture. I think she needs one of those new ones that takes the picture before you press the button (not sure how that works but I'm sure I can beat it).

We met a woman and kid in the park. She asked if I was a Rottweiler cross. Cheek of her. No I said, I'm a Bernese Mountain Dog. She needs to clean her ears out as she then said "oh a BURMESE, beautiful". I get so bored of having to repeat myself, so I didn't. I just sniggered behind her back. I mean BURMA, way too hot there for the likes of me.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. Hope it's a good one for you all. Hope you all stay healthy and happy. It's raining out again today, so no walkies. Hopefully the weather will get better soon so mummy can take me back to the woods again. We went the other day and I nearly caught a squirrel.

Happy Yule

Happy Yule to everyone. I know it was yesterday but mummy was working and didn't get time so we are having it today. She has bought a big turkey and I am going to get the neck and giblets.....Yum! She bought me a couple of presents too. I got a reindeer to chew and a backpack to carry my stuff in when we go for a walk. Daddy got a new chair but didn't buy mummy anything, even I forgot, but I did buy daddy a book. I also got a calendar from my real mummy and daddy. Mummy has to go and see grandad in hospital before we can do anything else, he really isn't well.

Bored!!!!

So totally BORED today. It's raining out so don't want to go for a walk, instead I'm lying here dreaming of SNOW. Love snow. Hurry up and come. Last year was the best. We had loads of snow here, really deep and daddy even took me out to play in it. Hope mummy takes me to the woods when it does snow, that was the best walk I've had and I'm sure it will be even better in the snow. Think I might stay here for a while and dream about that.

The Bestest walk EVER!!!!

Mummy took me out for a walk yesterday. We went by car, past the Heath and on 'till we got to the woods. By this time I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. We walked down a path until we got to a board and mummy asked if I wanted to go on the "blue" walk or "red" walk. I chose red and we set off following the red markers. There were houses on our right whose gardens backed onto the woods. Wow, lucky people, how I would like to live in one of those. We came to one garden which had some really strange animals in.

We carried on down the path a long way, round bends, up hills, down hills and then we came to a five way crossroads and the markers dissapeared. Well which way did we need to go? We didn't know so we carried on as if we were in a circle, but we still didn't find any red markers. Now I was begining to get worried, were we lost? I couldn't smell any red markers but I could smell lots of squirels and they wouldn't tell me where we were.

We walked for ages, lost in the woods, then all of a sudden mummy spotted a red marker at the top of a very steep bank. I made it up easily but mummy, well, I laughed so hard I thought my sides were going to split. When mummy finaly made it to the top, and I stopped laughing I pointed out that the red marker was pointing down to the path we had just come from, but, that it sloped gently down a few yards on. No need to scramble up any steep slopes.

Finally back on the red path, we came to the picnic area. From here we found our way back out of the woods and back to the car. It was such fun I think next time mummy will have to bring a picnic and we can stay for longer. May be the strange bird might talk to me next time, apparently it's a wood pecker.

Pressie for mummy



I bought mummy a pressie today from e-bay. Been looking out for all things Berner for her as I know she loves us all. We put it up in the window to warn burglers that I'm here and they don't even want to think about breaking in. Mind you I think my bark might be enough to warn them off.

It has made mummy a bit happier. She's been EXASPERATED this week. We have got workmen in putting solar panels on the roof. The panels went up very well but the same could not be said about the electricians wiring it in. Well!!!!!! what a mess. Mummy's been ripping her hair out. They still haven't finished and she doesn't know when they are coming back to finish. I think I will hide under the table when they do as "sparks are gonna fly", not the electrical type but mummy type, and that's scary. The last time I saw these "sparks" fly was when mummy picked me up from the vets and I was covered in vomit and poo. Well I hid then so did most of the vets and a lot of the dogs waiting left.

Its Christmas.

You all gotta watch this. Wow. Mummy wont let me help decorate the tree just incase I break something and hurt myself but these dogs are brilliant.

Walkies

Mummy took me for a walk over the Heath, so I had a good sniff around and found evidence of bunnies. I didn't manage to find any actual bunnies, but I know they are there. I found their poop and left a deposit of mine so now they know to "watch out Fizzy's about". He he!!

The only problem was that mummy picked it up and made me wait whilst she put it in the bin. I was very good and didn't move so I got a treat when she came back. I like treats. Mummy has bought me a very special one for Yuletide. It is called an Advent Calender and has treats in it behind windows that you open each day during December.

Its not a very good photo but you can see that it is very special, it's only for Berners. I asked mummy if we could send one to Jesse in America but she didn't know his address but I'm sure he'd love it. I will think of you Jesse whilst I'm munching on the treats inside.

Paintings

Not been up to much lately. Been out on walkies every day, meeting new friends and Coco who everyone seems to think I am just because we are both Berners.
Mummy found a program on the net that changes photos into paintings, she's gone mad with it and thought every picture she has had to be changed, along with all the pictures from every other site there is. So I thought i'd share this one with you. I think it's Spotty along with some very yummy looking mushrooms.

Halloween

Well it was Halloween again the other night. Thank goodness mummy didn't make me wear any silly costume. I helped carve the pumpkins and put them out, then tried to eat all the sweets but mummy wouldn't let me as she said it would make me sick.

There were lots of monsters and witches that kept ringing the doorbell and I barked at them all to tell them to go away but mummy kept opening the door and giving them the sweets. I got a lot of strokes so the monsters can't be all that bad.

Looking forward to next year, maybe someone might bring me some sweets instead.

Though I'd say hi to my friend across the pond, Jessej. I've been following your antics for a while and not only are you very handsome but your very funny too. I don't know what bunnies are as there aren't any around here but there are lots of scary foxes.
I'm glad you are following mine and my birth family's site, and I look forward to reading more about you chasing these bunnies.

Gone in 30 seconds

Well mummy's decided to put me on the BARF diet. She defrosted a rabbit dinner, blended a load of vegetables we picked from the garden, put the bowl down for me and then went and got the camera to take a picture of me eating very nice looking dinner. Trouble is when she got back I had already eaten it all and the bowl was empty. Boy was it yummy!!! I look forward to my dinner now. I love carrots, beens, cauliflower, broccolli and everything else that went into it and best of all I enjoyed picking the veg.

New car

New car, new car, new car. Fun, fun, fun. Yeah!!! Mummy wouldn't let me sit in the back seats but I've got this massive boot with my own window that opens. It also has air con so I won't get so hot on long drives. It doesn't chuck me around when we hit potholes either, it bounces over them. Fun, fun, fun. I want to go for a drive now.

Spotty, I found you a stick.

As the weather held out today mummy took me for a walk down the lakes. I went into my usual spot and found this massive stick for you Spotty, unfortunately I wasn't quite sure how to pick it up, so I left it there. I did try to get mummy to help but she just gave me this look that said "do you think I'm stupid". I get that look a lot. She's not as stupid as she is funny looking.

I'm still having trouble trying to upload video, it uploads straight from the camera but won't upload the edited version even though it's the same type of file. Oh well can't expect everything to work properly, I don't. In fact I do as little work as I can get away with.

More bored

We had a nice day yesterday, managed to get into the garden and help mummy with digging and laying mulch (whatever that is...nice for chewing tho) but today it's raining again. Mummy said it's the tail end of the hurricane the Americans had. Well they can keep it. I don't really like rain but I LOVE snow. They can send that all my way. Mummy said it will carry on until Wednesday. BORING!!! Will just have to get wet, maybe I can get mummy to take me down the lakes for more swimming lessons, I need them, the last time I went in I sank and mummy had to jump in and drag me out. It was fun though.
