A very long post.

Over the last 2 days we have taken full inventory of the forest within my Queendom. The Goblin has been very surprising, she is definitely NOT princess material but has shown her true qualities at last.  It turns out she is a most excellent Knight-in-training. I should have known from when she was little, she did so much enjoy Jousting.

I had never really thought about her becoming a Knight, a bit sexist of me really. She has provided a lot of protection & has even shown her worth at catching up with the messenger.

We travelled to the far reaches of the Queendom today, found the boundary lines along the edge of the forest. We came across a few trespassers, the knight-in-training ascertained which ones were acceptable & which ones were not.
There were so many parts of the forest we had not seen before, we checked every part & left our markers so everyone knew this was still part of my Queendom.

 This was one of the parts we had not checked before. The trees are already dropping their leaves, preparing for a cold winter I suspect.

 We checked in on the Faeries' castle, everything was good for them. They all had new oak hats, which the trees had gifted them, for Mabon. They had collected loads of Chestnuts too, these they shared with us as a tithe.

 The Clearing is where I address my subjects, they can tell me all their worries & fears and I do my best to relieve them.

 Although we did go off the roads at times to check for hidden Trolls, the area was clear. I do not know if we have any at the moment, it seems not. Maybe if the winter is bad they will come.

 This place is a secret, it is a very special part of the forest & must not be revealed to anyone.

 The magical entrance to the Unicorn Kingdom is hidden somewhere in my Queendom, it is a parallel universe that can not be seen with the eyes alone. There are special markers left for those who mean no harm, we must find these before we may use our magic to find the doorway.

She has proven to be very useful

 The knight-in-training was very happy to meet the Unicorns. Unfortunately I cannot reveal them to anyone, I'm sure you understand.

 I am worried about the level of water this year. There has not been as much rain as there was last year so the level of water is very low, it's also very muddy. I hope the rains eventually come.

 We were very careful not to wake a sleeping Dragon that we came across. Dragons often stop to rest in the centre of a forest, they do not like to be disturbed and have been know to burn a forest if woken abruptly. We left it sleeping, it will move on soon.

Well it took a long time to travel around the forest. The Ogre brought the carriage so that we could return to the Palace in style. The Queendom is very large & the Palace a long way from the forest.

We ate a good meal & now must sleep, it has been a long day.

Weather is still holding out

More walks. The weather is just right at the moment, not raining, not sunny, just nice & cool. We have just been out for our nightly walk, separately as we walk the roads in the dark & it's easier for mummy.

The Goblin has been really naughty of late, 2 packets of bikits, mummy's cup of coffee & the remote for the tv have all been eaten, drank & chewed. She was made to have a "time out" in the kitchen which meant that I could have mummy all to myself, bliss.

We got to go for a long walk yesterday, at first I though mummy was taking me to the vet as she put me in the car but then she went back for the Goblin & I knew that meant walkies. She drove down the road & I wondered which we were going to, the Heath or the Woods. Well it was the Woods, wonderful. We meet some other dogs there too, these ones were nice unlike the poodle that bit the Goblin on the nose (don't tell her but if I see that Poodle i'll bite her back).

I hope there will be a few more long walks soon, I also hope we have lots of snow this winter.

Walks are lovely

Well over the last few days mummy has been busy sorting out nana's garden. It's also been raining, but today we got to go for a walk, not to our favorite place, just the park.

I was made to walk with the Goblin on the double lead rather than getting to go on my own, mummy said we would have more fun if we actually played nicely with each other & that I should be more "dog", whatever that means.

When we got home we were both tuckered out but mummy made us "pose" for some more pictures, so I hope you enjoy them.

I also have to inform you that the Goblin says I'm officially FAT. 47kg I weighed in at, well she was only 5kg less so that makes her NOT FAR OFF BEING FAT TOO.

Major Blogger problems

Is anyone else having this problem with having to change your e-mail?
I am on Virgin & it seems that Google want you to use their e-mail addresses so they have assigned my address to another account & I can't access it anymore. I see that as theft, do you hear that GOOGLE, you have stolen my address.

I'm not sure on whether I should simply close this blog & go to FB or open another blog on a different system.

This is all getting confusing. What have you all done?? is it only Virgin that has this problem? will it happen with other accounts or have you all gone over to Google already??

Sad face

This is my sad face, the Goblin has an even sadder face. We are supposed to be in Wales but we are at home.
We broke down on the way and it couldn't be fixed so we had to be towed home.

Nearly all packed

I'm so excited, the caravan is being packed & I just know we are going away on holiday. I even know where we are going... I'm going home. Back to see my birth mummy & daddy, the King & Queen of Dolyhir. The Goblin is coming too but last year she was very good, I was hoping her good behaviour would continue but it hasn't.

Mummy has made some of her Christmas Tree ornaments to sell on the bring & buy, she hopes they all sell & brings in lots of money for the 2 charities chosen this year.

Mummy had to buy some wellies, just incase, as they say we will have thunder showers on saturday. She is also packing our raincoats & the gazebo to help keep us all dry.
Hopefully we will be staying at FForest Fields again, it was lovely & quiet there with a lovely lake to swim in. They also lent us a power lead & mummy hopes they will again as she still hasn't got one, that was because she was going to sell the caravan & buy a motorhome.

Hi, it's me the Goblin 'ere. Big sis took me for a walk over the Heath. I was told to be on the look out for bunnies, apparently they are good fur chasin'. I fink I found some.

Lost time

Oh dear. It seems time keeps getting away from me. It's not like I'm doing anything great, just sleeping & eating. The goblin keeps using the computer for her FB page & I just forget to update my blog when she's off.

Well I'm looking forward to my holiday next month, the Annual Dolyhir Meet. It sounds like it's going to be a big event this year. Mummy has been trying to find a new motorhome for us, we do still have the caravan but mummy thinks it would be easier to have an "all-in-one" so we can just get up & go to see our friends whenever we liked. The only trouble is too many have been scams or quite simply rubbish. Mummy travelled all the way to Yarmouth to see one & it turned out to be terrible. She was so upset, not only was it no good but she had travelled a long way & then had to pay extra to get home. Thank goodness she hadn't taken us with her (especially as she gone for hours & was dark when she got home). Then there are all the adds she's replied to which have turned out to be scams (she hasn't fallen for those) & those which she likes & has tried to contact but they haven't existed (she doesn't understand those ones).

The weather today is very odd, first it's sunny then it's raining so we only been on a short walk. The other day we go to go to the lakes, this is one of my favourite places. The Goblin is starting to grow up, she was very protective of mummy when a strange man turned up (so was I).

It was a short walk as the Goblin then decided to run off in the other direction so mummy had to go & get her back. She has stopped pulling on the lead now she uses the Halti, I like to laugh at her but mummy made me wear it one day. Mummy has been taking us both out on separate walks at night time. We both seem to enjoy that much better but we have to stick to the roads because of the lights.

Whilst we were at the lakes we saw this very big bird, mummy says it's a Heron & they like to eat fish.

I must get mummy to make some of her decorations to bring to the meet, hopefully they can be sold to add some money to the charity.

She's been too busy messing around. This is our new table (not quite finished) ready to be used on holiday.

Sweet dreams Beryl

Another beautiful Berner has passed over the Rainbow Bridge, beautiful Beryl.

Beryl had a wonderful life with her family, especially her mum Susan. She had lots of four-legged brother & sisters to look after too but in her last few months they took to looking after her instead.

The Goblin took to her, asking if she could call her Granny, luckily Beryl said she would like that very much. Beryl was a very beautiful soul.

Happy birthday

It's my birthday again. 5 years old.
Happy birthday to all my brothers & sisters, the first Dolyhir's.

I got to go to the pet store & got lots of pressies, fusses & bikits. Mummy also bought me a lovely chunk of oxtail which I enjoyed all to myself whilst she took the Goblin out for a walk. She has been taking us out separately for walks lately, I'm much happier to have some ME time & as mummy has given up smoking she needs something to do to get off all the weight she's putting on eating too much to compensate. Although the Goblin says that I also need the extra exercise as I too have become a fatty.

Mummy has been spending lots of time at Grumpy's flat, he has had to move into a nursing home as he can no longer look after himself. He's not very happy about it, but mummy has been helping Nana clear everything out. There is so much they have had to throw, there are also lots of things that they need to sell, it seems Grumpy bought lots of things he never used.

Bath time

Mummy says we stink, so it was bath time today. Now we smell all nice (we will rectify that as soon as we get out into the garden).
