Disaster

Wow, what a disaster USA has had. Hope any of you that lives there are ok. I know some of mummy's FB friends are not. Well I don't know if you remember me telling you about mummy helping someone out with their vets bill, she said she'd not help anyone else. Well she has, this time though it's for real, poor Marcy has lost her home due to the hurricane and Janice has not power and it's been 10 days already. Marcy only has the clothes she left with but she did remember to take all of Mika's toys and food so Mika's ok. Mummy couldn't afford to donate much this time but she did and this time it's real.

Mika

The silly thing is they are sleeping on friends floors, they can't find a hotel that has vacancies, they are all fully booked.  Mummy told me of the time we had a hurricane in the UK, she had no power for just over 10 days but luckily the weather wasn't too bad (USA has snow now). And we had a power cut here when someone decided to try and steal the metal wires at the main station, we were off for 3 days that time again it was lucky it was summer.

I immediately thought of Jesse, he loved to chase bunnies and loved snow. Wonder what he would have made of this. I can just see him jumping up to try and catch it.

A long walk

Mummy took me to the woods again today. We looked for bunnies and squirels, but didn't find any. We did get lost again though. Mummy said there are woods like this over the Rainbow Bridge, so I tried looking for Jesse, but he wasn't there. He would have liked it.

I went straight to sleep when I got home. I had to go in through the back door coz I was all dirty, but mummy dried me off.

A Rainbow has torn through my heart. My King, my Love has passed away, the angels came for him. I know he will wait for me, when my time finally comes he will be my Angel. Mummy found a poem for me, to try and help with the pain, to explain why he had to go. I will forever miss him, my wonderful JesseJ.

I will lend you a pup

I will lend to you for awhile, a pup, God said,
For you to love him while he lives and mourn for when he's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe two or three
But will you, 'till I call him back, take care of him for me?

My poor love

I'm reposting my picture of me and Jesse coz Jesse isn't feeling very well, he ate something bad and it's upset his tummy. So get well soon my love. I hope this cheers you up as I know you wanted to go to the ranch and help your mummy & daddy close it up.

Dog show

Well mummy took me to another doggie show. We did have some fun although by the time it came to me going in the ring I was tired and wanted to go sleepy time, so I sat down and wouldn't move. I still got a blue rosette (2nd) and a lilac (5th) one. I didn't get any free doggie food coz I didn't come first. Never mind, I like the food mummy gives me, it's real raw food.

As I said, we had some fun. I nearly got a sister. We found this lovely little dog running around all lost. She was covered in foxy poo and insisted on jumping all over me and mummy. We managed to find some rope and tie her up so she couldn't run off again. Eventually her owner found us and she was able to go home. She was very happy and so was her mummy and daddy.

We also saw a group of dogs there that were also being shown. They had this really good handler, he pranced around the ring with the doggies and they had their noses stuck so high I wondered how they could breathe. They did very well and won most of their classes. I've never seen the like before. Maybe next time they might talk to me. Daddy was terrible at taking photos, he forgot to take any of me with my blue rosette and took blurry ones in the next show. He really needs to learn what to do.

I had to have a bath before I went, this time with water in it. I got mummy good and proper, she was wetter than me by the end of it. I gave her a bikit to say sorry.

I don't like the dishwasher, it is scary and makes funny noises. Mummy had to go and get me food and left me indoors with it, why oh why did she not take me with her. She couldn't find me when she got back coz I had to go and hide. In the bath....

Story

I managed to get chance to finish uploading my story. So for those of you who couldn't read the PDF can go to the page Tails of Seasons Sunset and read it there. Would love to read all your comments on it and I hope you all enjoy it. It seems to end a bit abruptly so I might add something into it at a later date.

It's autumn

The leaves are already falling, so is the rain. The wind is howling like a dog and it's scaring me, it keeps blowing the neighbour's tree and I think it's coming to get me. It's not safe indoors either, what with the dishwasher making noises and I don't know what it wants. So I'm hiding under the table again.

Mummy's not happy. She said she got conned by someone, not sure what that means. She gave some money to someone to help pay their vets bill as they said they couldn't afford it. Well I know my mummy is a very nice person so when she thought this poor woman was in trouble and her dog might not get the help he needed she decided to help out, so did a couple of other people and they all got conned. This woman could afford it, she has a big house in an rich area with expensive cars and a swimming pool. She took the money out of MY vet fund. Well now she says she won't help anyone out again. This makes me sad, my mummy's a nice person and likes to help, mummy's sad too coz she can't believe anyone would be that nasty. So everyone beware of FaceBook friends, they may not be what they seem. Think I need to give mummy some loves.

Puppies

Mummy's had her puppies. They are my half brothers & sisters, they have a different daddy to me. Four little puppies. Congratulations mummy.

Misaki, I should have listened to you. The birds have killed my octopus. They disemboweled it. Poor octopus. I only left it out in the garden for 5 minutes, I'm so sad I had to howl. It doesn't squeek now.

My story.

I finally managed to get my story finished. I still need to add it to the page but I have made it into a book that you can download. I'm going to try and put it up here.

Walkies!

I'm such a good girl when it comes to going for a walk, I sit patiently whilst mummy puts my harness on. Just watch the video, he he!

Don't worry, as soon as I get out the door I start behaving. Then I check all the pee-mail on the way to the park, mummy stops and waits. Then when we get there she lets me off the lead and I can sniff and run around. I don't think I'm very fit, I get tired quickly and pant a lot. Mummy took me into the pet store on the way back coz I had run out of food, so I had a drinkie but the machine it was next to kept making a funny noise, it was engraving a dog tag for someone. Kim wasn't there :( I like seeing Kim coz she gives me my favourite bikits.

Just playing around

Wow, there are so many places on this big wide world web thingy. I have been playing around on it, hijacking mummy's FB, and found a few programmes that let you do pictures, you know, adding things and joining pictures together. So I had a play around with a pic of Jesse & Me and this is what I got.

I know it's not valentines day, but why wait. I know how I feel about my Jesse, I will shout it out loud, whenever I want. He he!
I need to get mummy to carry on with my story, I have lots of ideas to put in it and I forget things very quickly, so hurry up mummy.

Well that's the warning folks. The reason, well the pic in the top left was taken at the crematorium. It is the final goodbye from Christel to her beloved Lucky. She passed over the Rainbow Bridge a few months ago. Christel is one of mummy's friends on FaceBook. She is part of the on-line Berner community.

Now, I know some of you reading this may also have lost a loved one, you will know how she feels. But, and this is the big bit, it gets worse. One person, yes just one, complained to FB that they found it offencive. What do you think they did? They deleted her account. Now poor Christel has lost all her photos, she kept them on FB as she didn't have a computer. She is devastated. She has made a new page under a different name so she can still have the support of her friends. But I would just like to say....FB THAT IS JUST NOT RIGHT. YOU ARE A BUNCH OF @*!$**@#~

Bear!

There's a big black/white & tan Bear at The Rock, he he! 

Bear, who as a puppy was called Flash, went to live in Ireland, unfortunately his owner was no longer able to look after him (don't know why) so he has gone back home to Dolyhir.

Mummy, daddy, Bliss, Spotty and Dotty (Woozah) are all happy he has come back home.

Poor Bear, I couldn't imagine loosing my human parents, I would be so said. But at least he has gone back to the clan, they will give him lots of love.

It has made me think and now I feel quite sad for Bear. It must be so confusing for him. I would be so upset if I lost my home. I still remember when I came to live here, I was really scared and lonely, I wondered if mummy & daddy missed me. But my human parents gave me lots of cuddles, toys and food and made me feel so much better. Now I don't want to be anywhere else, although a bigger house and garden would be very nice ( so long as we are all still together, oh, and some puppies, yeh.)

Mummy is at work again tonight so I will have to go and pester daddy and play on his X-box with him (I like to bark at the zombie dogs). Then I think I will have a snooze and dream of Jesse.

Dreaming

I'm dreaming of my lovely Jesse J. I wish I was on holiday with him, swimming in the river and sharing bones. Makes me feel all warm and happy. Mummy has got hold of some little bricks which she is going to use to make a patio, she had to make 4 trips to Orpington which is about 8 miles away to pick them all up. She didn't have to pay coz she found them on Freecycle, this is where people give things away for free. I decided to stay indoors and dream.

So now I'm all happy and warm inside.

And I have a sparkle in my eye, just for my Jesse J. Mummy says we may have one last try for pups and if that doesn't work then she is going to adopt a puppy for me from a friend in Ireland. That is even further away than Wales and will be an over night stay for us. She needs to check first that there isn't any quarantine rules although it's still part of the United Kingdom.

Not to be

Sad today. Took a trip to the vet (again) this time for a pregnancy test. Had to wait forever for the results, only to be told it was negative. I won't be having puppies. Mummy says that was the last time, I will be 4 next year. She is upset but says she still loves me and I've had lots of cuddles to prove it. I will never know the delights of being a mummy, although mummy said she may buy me a puppy next year and I can love that as if it was my own. It won't be the same though.

FaceBook

I think I told you all mummy has facebook. Well she's been so busy with her friends there that I haven't been able to get on the computer for days. Well she's admin on a group there and they decided to have a Bernese Remembrance Day to honour all the berners that had passed away. So it was down to mummy to make a video and picture. It took her ages, she asked for all the pictures to be in by Tuesday eve, then found people had put more in on the following morning, so he had to add them in, this took so long. Everyone said it was lovely though, so I thought I'd share it here too.

First she made a collage of all the dogs to go at the top of the page (called a group photo).

Then she put all the pictures into a slide show, along with music.



I also heard some really bad news from one of the blogs I follow. http://romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.co.uk/ K had been battling cancer for some now and she finally passed over the Rainbow Bridge last Sunday. It seems too many good dogs are living very short lives. She will be greatly missed.

I had to borrow this picture from another blog page as when I tried to save a picture of K it wouldn't let me due to the copywrite. I hope you don't mind me borrowing it Storm.

Now Jesse sent me the Sunshine Blog Award so I will have to put my thinking cap on so I can answer the questions before I can post it on. My brain is already aching from all this writing.

On to everything I've been up to, it's not a lot, well it was coz it kept me very busy, another reason why I've not blogged.

It all started with me "coming into season", this is a time I don't particularly like, I'm sure all you girls out there know what I mean. Any way mummy took me to the vets, the new one Graham, and he stuck me with needles and took all my blood (vampire man). So it turns out I had to go and visit Night Night last Thursday. He tried being nice and did whisper in my ear and lick my face but I had to tell him that I was in love with another (Jesse), but he didn't care, so I closed my eyes and thought of Jesse. We had to go back on Saturday but luckily he wasn't interested in jumping on me this time, so we had a little play around the garden instead whilst mummy helped his mummy out in mending their telly. I love watching telly so I hope Night Night is happy that he can watch his now. Mummy took me back the the vets again today for a jab, I was very good and didn't yelp. She says we now have to go back in a few weeks to see if I'm going to have puppies.

Oh and I got a lovely treat when I got home from Night Night's, a bit of ox-tail, was it yummy or what???? It's one of the best things I've ever tasted. I hope all you doggies get your mummy's to buy you some, just remember it has to be eaten raw otherwise the bone will splinter and make you very ill.

Mummy has been very busy over on FaceBook, she admins for the Bernese Mountain Dog Lovers group page. They have decided to have a memorial day on 21 July to commemorate all their dogs that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge and mummy has been trying to make a video with all their pictures in. It is going well so far, but there are so many dogs in it. This makes her (and me) very sad. Mummy said she will post it on here too. So if you are the mummy or daddy of a Berner and want to join her on FB just type the group name in the search bar on FB  (you will need a FB account) but I would rather you stayed here with me.

Goodbye my Auntie Montana, I will see you again one day. I will try not be sad to loose you because I know there are many other Berners that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge and you are needed there to look after them all. You were a wonderful auntie to me and my family. Your spirit lives on in us all. Look over my family every now and again and know we will always be thinking of you. Too hot!

Whew! The weather has turned hot these past couple of days. I'm one hot doggie. In more ways than one. Firstly the temp here has been in the high 20's (C) and I've been panting away trying to cool down, but it's all too much so mummy went over to her dad's and borrowed an air cooling thingy. It says Artic 2000 on it and boy does it blow cold. I think it must be as old as mummy and it was very dirty coz grandpa can't see very well to clean. It's very big too and makes a lot of noise. I think Jesse would like it as I heard it's very hot out in California, much hotter than here. Mummy also told me there are forest fires in Colorado so I'm glad he's back home, safe.




Artic 2000


Secondly I've come into my season so mummy has been taking me to the vets, I like my new vet even though he keeps putting needles into me and taking my blood. Don't know what he wants with it, maybe he's a vampire, he looks a little pale. Mummy's hoping to take me to visit Night Night when the "time's right". Mmmm if that's anything like last time I don't think I'm going to enjoy it. It makes me feel really bad, it's not my Jesse :( . Last year I had x-rays to check my hips and elbow to make sure they were all ok, they were very good (4,3 hips:0 elbows) so mummy wants me to have puppies. I think I will be a very good mummy.

Silly me

I forgot, today is Father's Day. Hope you have a great day daddy. I found this card on-line, the picture isn't of me, but I couldn't help thinking you would love it. It can go to your human daddy (Tony) too.

No silly words

Just to let you all know that you no longer have to type those silly words if you want to leave a comment on my blog. I have done this because one of my readers has bad eye sight and finds it very difficult to read the silly words. I find it difficult too but that's coz I can't read. lol  So I hope this makes it easier for you all.

Where's Fizzy? Gone for a wander.

I went with mummy down to the allotment, just to give her some encouragement you know, not to help. Whilst her back was turned I decided to do some exploring and found some bees living in these funny looking boxes.

But when mummy turned round this is all she could see, no Fizz. So she called, and called, but I totally ignored her. She was very cross when I finally decided to come back (don't tell her but I only came back coz the bees were scary).

Mummy is doing her best with the plot but as she has hurt her knees she is finding it very difficult. She needs to finish digging over the end (under the carpet) and get a shed so I will have somewhere to hide when it rains.

Gone all day.

Mummy went to work yesterday and was gone all day. Daddy went out too and didn't come home till very late. Nana came down to see me and let me out to go to toilet but she wouldn't give me my pigs ear as she gets frightened that I will choke on it. I never do so she shouldn't be frightened. I had to wait until mummy got home before I could have it, I knew exactly where it was so I showed mummy and made her give it to me. It was very yummy.

Miserable weather

Not happy, it's been raining again. We had thunder and lightning too, that was quite scary. The sun did come out on Monday afternoon so I got to go for a nice walk. Mummy was slow but we did pop into the pet store on the way home and I got a lovely Big Bikit. Yum yum yum!!!!
